Celle offers the most largerst amount of half-timbered houses in Europe. On my walk I came across this building dating back to 1534.
On the right side of the house there is an interesting figure. In German we call this kind of person a ‘Dukatenscheisser’, which is actually a dirty word. Literally translated it means a man who poohs ducats. Any ideas where the term Dukatenscheisser is come from?
