After a town fire in 1517, the new city hall saw its completion in 1528. Besides the lovely bonneted dormers, the Renaissance gate next to the Ratskeller Inn is also worth a look. The Ratskeller is considered the oldest inn in the city of Naumburg (Saale).

Cycling the Ilm Valley Cycle Path you may visit the Kromsdorf Renaissance Palace. Visiting the castle grounds you will be awarded with 64 stone busts decorating the garden wall. There meaning is still disputed.
Freihaus of Christoph Weiß in Wels
The Freihaus of Christoph Weiß was built at the end of the 16th century. The Renaissance building is especially known for its window frames made of diamond-shaped bossages.
Water tower in Wels
This water tower in Wels was built in 1577/1579 by Wolfgang Khranlachner. Inside the tower, there is a pump designed by the watchmaker Clement Rench. The colourful façade painting was done by the artist Niclas Linkh.
