The Gorch Fock I dates back to 1933. Before WWII, it served as a school ship for the German Reichsmarine. Today, it is a museum ship in Stralsund. Its name refers to the author Johann Wilhelm Kinau, who used the pseudonym Gorch Fock for his works.

Icebreaker “Stephan Jantzen”
This icebreaker was built in 1967 and is named after the sea rescuer Stephan Jantzen (1827-1913). The ship is off duty now. Although plans were to convert the vessel into a luxury icebreaker for private tours, it is still waiting for a new assignment at Rostock City Harbour.

This police boat was built by Fassmer in 2001. It is used by the German Police Authority Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The home port is Rostock. On this pic, it anchors next to the ‘Hohe Dünne‘ Yachting & Spa Resort.
