Interesting mural seen at an abandoned building next to the railway station of Deutsch-Wagram. It shows a train dating back to the first days of passenger trains in Austria. At that time there was a train bringing people from Vienna to this place just for fun and having a good time outside the big city.

Storks in Deutschkreutz
A trip through Burgenland wouldn’t be complete without taking photos of storks. One can see their nests on many roofs in the easternmost state of Austria. Coincidentally, I found the nest with the most storks on top of a house that bore the name Burgenland.

Elevator up to the clock tower of Graz
A special way to go up to the clock tower on top of a rock in the centre of Graz is taking this elevator. The lift connects a tunnel inside the rock with the plateau next to the clock tower. While going up in this glazed cab one have an exciting view of the elevator shaft taught in a strange blue light.
Hidden lane in Vienna
On a rainy summer evening I walked through this lane next to the Michaelerkirche in Vienna. Though it is situated in the centre of Vienna no one else was in the lane. A real place of silence in the middle of the metropolis. Do you know such silent places in your city too?
