The Weihnachtsdorf (Christmas village) at the Maria-Theresien-Platz is situated right between the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Fine Arts) and the Naturhistorische Museum (Museum of Natural History) and is therefore a fine place for having a break between two museum visits.
Comparing to other Christmas markets it is one of the more packed ones. The most impressive special feature of this market are the photographs project onto the walls of both museums. So I could watch some famous exhibits while having my cup of Gluhwein. Well, how of you know which painting is project at the wall of the Museum of Fine Arts right now?
